1.1 A bill for an act 1.2 relating to human services; providing a minimum 1.3 reimbursement to Dakota county to continue client 1.4 education, enrollment, and advocacy; amending 1.5 Minnesota Statutes 1996, section 256B.69, subdivision 1.6 21. 1.7 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 1.8 Section 1. Minnesota Statutes 1996, section 256B.69, 1.9 subdivision 21, is amended to read: 1.10 Subd. 21. [PREPAYMENT COORDINATOR.] (a) The county board 1.11 shall designate a prepayment coordinator to assist the state 1.12 agency in implementing this section and section 256D.03, 1.13 subdivision 4. Assistance must include educating recipients 1.14 about available health care options, enrolling recipients under 1.15 subdivision 5, providing necessary eligibility and enrollment 1.16 information to health plans and the state agency, and 1.17 coordinating complaints and appeals with theombudsman1.18 ombudsperson established in subdivision1820. 1.19 (b) Dakota county shall receive at least $26 per enrollee 1.20 in the county's prepaid medical assistance program in order to 1.21 continue the county's client education, enrollment, and advocacy 1.22 program under the county's prepaid medical assistance program.
