  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to the city of Duluth; modifying the area in 
  1.3             which a special service district may be created; 
  1.4             amending Laws 1993, chapter 375, article 5, section 
  1.5             40, subdivision 3. 
  1.6   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.7      Section 1.  Laws 1993, chapter 375, article 5, section 40, 
  1.8   subdivision 3, is amended to read: 
  1.9      Subd. 3.  [ESTABLISHMENT OF SPECIAL SERVICE DISTRICT; 
  1.10  AREA.] The governing body of the city may establish a special 
  1.11  service district in the city.  The district shall be bounded on 
  1.12  the northwest by Interstate Highway 35, on the northeast by the 
  1.13  centerline of Sixth Avenue West and as the same is extended to 
  1.14  the United States Harbor Line in St. Louis Bay, on the southeast 
  1.15  by said Harbor Line and on the southwest by the centerline 
  1.16  of Ninth Tenth Avenue West and as the same is extended to said 
  1.17  Harbor Line.
