  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to education; providing for a grant to 
  1.3             independent school district No. 911, Cambridge-Isanti; 
  1.4             appropriating money. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [APPROPRIATION.] 
  1.7      $1,000,000 is appropriated in fiscal year 2000 from the 
  1.8   general fund to the department of children, families, and 
  1.9   learning for a grant to independent school district No. 911, 
  1.10  Cambridge-Isanti.  This appropriation must be used for initial 
  1.11  facility costs relating to the district's year-round optional 
  1.12  school that assists in reducing elementary teacher-to-student 
  1.13  ratios, including expenses to conform leased space to building 
  1.14  code requirements.
