A bill for an act
 relating to education; permitting Independent School District No. 2904, Tracy,
Independent School District No. 2689, Pipestone, and Independent School
District No. 330, Heron Lake-Okabena, to start the school year before Labor Day.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin TRACY; PIPESTONE; HERON LAKE-OKABENA; SCHOOL START
DATE BEFORE LABOR DAY.

new text begin Notwithstanding Minnesota Statutes, section 120A.40, for the 2015-2016 school
year only, Independent School District No. 2904, Tracy, Independent School District No.
2689, Pipestone, and Independent School District No. 330, Heron Lake-Okabena, may
start the school year on the Monday before Labor Day.
