  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to education; appropriating money for grants 
  1.3             to independent school district No. 707, Nett Lake, for 
  1.4             insurance premiums, unemployment compensation, 
  1.5             maintenance costs, and a media specialist. 
  1.6   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.7      Section 1.  [APPROPRIATIONS.] 
  1.8      Subdivision 1.  [DEPARTMENT OF CHILDREN, FAMILIES, AND 
  1.9   LEARNING.] The sums indicated in this section are appropriated 
  1.10  from the general fund to the department of children, families, 
  1.11  and learning for the fiscal years designated. 
  1.12     Subd. 2.  [INSURANCE.] For grants to independent school 
  1.13  district No. 707, Nett Lake: 
  1.14       $60,000        .....     2000 
  1.15       $60,000        .....     2001 
  1.16     $30,000 in 2000 and $30,000 in 2001 are for grants to 
  1.17  independent school district No. 707, Nett Lake, to pay property 
  1.18  and boiler insurance premiums under Minnesota Statutes, section 
  1.19  466.06. 
  1.20     $30,000 in 2000 and $30,000 in 2001 are for grants to 
  1.21  independent school district No. 707, Nett Lake, to pay 
  1.22  obligations of the school district for unemployment 
  1.23  compensation.  The appropriation must be paid to the appropriate 
  1.24  state agency for such purposes in the name of the school 
  1.25  district. 
  2.1      Subd. 3.  [MAINTENANCE COSTS.] For grants to independent 
  2.2   school district No. 707, Nett Lake, for maintenance of school 
  2.3   facilities: 
  2.4        $70,000        .....     2000

  2.6      Subd. 4.  [MEDIA SPECIALIST.] For grants to independent 
  2.7   school district No. 707, Nett Lake, for a media specialist for
