  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to state lands; authorizing public sale of 
  1.3             certain tax-forfeited land that borders public water 
  1.4             in Isanti county. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [SALE OF TAX-FORFEITED LAND; ISANTI COUNTY.] 
  1.7      (a) Notwithstanding Minnesota Statutes, sections 92.45 and 
  1.8   282.018, subdivision 1, Isanti county may sell the tax-forfeited 
  1.9   land bordering public water that is described in paragraph (c), 
  1.10  under the remaining provisions of Minnesota Statutes, chapter 
  1.11  282. 
  1.12     (b) The conveyance must be in a form approved by the 
  1.13  attorney general. 
  1.14     (c) The land that may be conveyed is located in Isanti 
  1.15  county, Bradford Township, and is described as that part of 
  1.16  Government Lot 2, Section 21, Township 135, Range 24, more 
  1.17  particularly described as follows:  Commencing at the Southwest 
  1.18  corner of said Lot 2, thence North along the West line thereof 
  1.19  147.73 feet; thence East at right angles with the West line of 
  1.20  said Government Lot 2 to the shore of Lake Francis; thence 
  1.21  Southerly along the shore line of Lake Francis to its 
  1.22  intersection with the South line of Government Lot 2, thence 
  1.23  West along the South line of Government Lot 2 to the point of 
  1.24  beginning, and there to terminate, subject to an easement for 
  1.25  road purposes over the West 33 feet thereof. 
  2.1      (d) The county has determined that the county's land 
  2.2   management interests would best be served if the lands were 
  2.3   returned to private ownership. 
  2.4      Sec. 2.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  2.5      Section 1 is effective the day following final enactment.
