  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to natural resources; establishing the 
  1.3             Minnesota River trail; appropriating money; amending 
  1.4             Minnesota Statutes 2000, section 85.015, by adding a 
  1.5             subdivision. 
  1.6   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.7      Section 1.  Minnesota Statutes 2000, section 85.015, is 
  1.8   amended by adding a subdivision to read: 
  1.9      Subd. 22.  [MINNESOTA RIVER TRAIL.] The trail shall 
  1.10  originate at the entrance to Big Stone Lake state park and 
  1.11  extend along the Minnesota river valley to connect to the 
  1.12  Minnesota Valley trail at the city of LeSueur. 
  1.13     Sec. 2.  [APPROPRIATION.] 
  1.14     The appropriation from the general fund of $1,400,000 
  1.15  authorized in Laws 1998, chapter 404, section 7, subdivision 26, 
  1.16  for Skunk Hollow trail in Yellow Medicine and Chippewa counties 
  1.17  is reauthorized and appropriated to the commissioner of natural 
  1.18  resources for the purpose of developing the Minnesota River 
  1.19  trail according to section 1.
