relating to higher education; requiring postsecondary institutions to notify
prospective students of the potential effects of a criminal conviction on future
employment; proposing coding for new law in Minnesota Statutes, chapter 135A.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

new text begin [135A.157] NOTICE TO PROSPECTIVE STUDENTS.

new text begin A public or private postsecondary educational institution located in this state shall
give the notice specified in this section to each person applying to be a student at the
institution.
