A bill for an act
relating to capital investment; appropriating money for a veterans memorial in
Steele County.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
Section 1. new text begin VETERANS MEMORIAL; STEELE COUNTY.

$50,000 in fiscal year 2024 is appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner
of veterans affairs for one or more grants to Steele County and the Moonlighters Exchange
Club to design and construct a veterans memorial at the Steele County Fairgrounds Park.
This appropriation is onetime and is available until the project is completed or abandoned,
subject to Minnesota Statutes, section 16A.642.
