  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to state lands; requiring the commissioner of 
  1.3             natural resources to convey certain land to the city 
  1.4             of Akeley for public purposes. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [CONVEYANCE TO THE CITY OF AKELEY.] 
  1.7      (a) Notwithstanding Minnesota Statutes, sections 84.027, 
  1.8   subdivision 10, and 94.09 to 94.16, the commissioner of natural 
  1.9   resources shall convey the land described in paragraph (c) to 
  1.10  the city of Akeley for no consideration. 
  1.11     (b) The conveyance must be in a form approved by the 
  1.12  attorney general and must provide that the land reverts to the 
  1.13  state if it ceases to be used for public purposes. 
  1.14     (c) The land to be conveyed is located in Hubbard county 
  1.15  and is described as follows:  Lots nine (9) and ten (10) in 
  1.16  block six (6), and all of block five (5), of the Plat of Akeley 
  1.17  Industrial Gardens. 
  1.18     (d) The city of Akeley intends to use the land for 
  1.19  expansion of a city park and for senior citizen housing. 
  1.20     Sec. 2.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  1.21     Section 1 is effective the day following final enactment.
