A bill for an act
relating to children; appropriating money to provide grants to youth intervention
programs.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin APPROPRIATION; YOUTH INTERVENTION PROGRAMS.

new text begin $2,400,000 in fiscal year 2010 and $2,400,000 in fiscal year 2011 are appropriated
from the general fund to the commissioner of public safety for youth intervention
programs under Minnesota Statutes, section 299A.73. This funding must be used to help
eligible programs provide early intervention youth services in their communities. This
appropriation shall be included in the Department of Public Safety's current budget base
for the youth intervention programs. The appropriation is available until expended.
