  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to vocational rehabilitation; appropriating 
  1.3             money for centers for independent living. 
  1.4   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.5      Section 1.  [APPROPRIATION; CENTERS FOR INDEPENDENT 
  1.6   LIVING.] 
  1.7      $2,500,000 is appropriated from the general fund to the 
  1.8   commissioner of economic security for centers for independent 
  1.9   living, to be available until June 30, 2001.  This appropriation 
  1.10  is in addition to the appropriation provided in Laws 1997, 
  1.11  chapter 200, article 1, section 5, subdivision 2.  This 
  1.12  appropriation is added to the department's budget base.  The 
  1.13  department shall allocate this appropriation equally among 
  1.14  Minnesota's eight centers for independent living.
