  1.1                          A bill for an act
  1.2             relating to collaboratives; appropriating money. 
  1.3   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.4      Section 1.  [APPROPRIATIONS.] 
  1.5      Subdivision 1.  [DEPARTMENT OF CHILDREN, FAMILIES, AND 
  1.6   LEARNING.] The sums indicated in this section are appropriated 
  1.7   from the general fund to the department of children, families, 
  1.8   and learning for the fiscal years designated. 
  1.9      Subd. 2.  [COMMUNITY COLLABORATIVE MATCHING GRANT.] For a 
  1.10  grant to provide a match for a community collaborative project 
  1.11  for children and youth developed by a regional organization 
  1.12  established under Minnesota Statutes, section 116J.415, to 
  1.13  receive rural development challenge grants. 
  1.14       $  150,000     .....     1998 
  1.15       $  150,000     .....     1999 
  1.16     The regional organization must include a broad 
  1.17  cross-section of public and private sector community 
  1.18  representatives to develop programs, services, or facilities to 
  1.19  address specific community needs of children and youth. 
  1.20     The regional organization that receives a grant must 
  1.21  provide a two-to-one match of nonstate dollars.
