  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to community development; providing a grant 
  1.3             to the Winona county historical society from the 
  1.4             Minnesota historical society for a technology upgrade 
  1.5             project with statewide applications; appropriating 
  1.6             money. 
  1.7   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.8      Section 1.  [APPROPRIATION; WINONA COUNTY HISTORICAL 
  1.9   SOCIETY.] 
  1.10     $50,000 is appropriated from the general fund in fiscal 
  1.11  year 2000 to the Minnesota historical society for a one-time 
  1.12  grant to the Winona county historical society for upgrade of 
  1.13  technology.  The Winona county historical society shall submit 
  1.14  to the Minnesota historical society a plan for the use of this 
  1.15  grant.  As part of the project, the Minnesota historical 
  1.16  society, in collaboration with the Winona county historical 
  1.17  society and other county and local historical societies, shall 
  1.18  develop a plan for the future use of technology by county and 
  1.19  local historical societies.
