  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to highways; appropriating money for 
  1.3             rehabilitation of the Ford Parkway Bridge. 
  1.4   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.5      Section 1.  [APPROPRIATION; FORD PARKWAY BRIDGE.] 
  1.6      $7,300,000 is appropriated from the general fund to the 
  1.7   commissioner of transportation to be disbursed for the 
  1.8   reconstruction and rehabilitation of the Ford Parkway Bridge, 
  1.9   which spans the Mississippi river and connects the cities of St. 
  1.10  Paul and Minneapolis.  This appropriation is contingent on 
  1.11  allowing traffic to cross over the bridge during the 
  1.12  reconstruction except for temporary closings for maintenance 
  1.13  purposes or in response to an emergency.  This appropriation 
  1.14  does not lapse but is available until the project is completed.
