  1.1                          A bill for an act
  1.2             relating to taxation; repealing provisions providing 
  1.3             for the property tax refund on the property tax 
  1.4             statement; repealing Minnesota Statutes 1996, sections 
  1.5             270B.12, subdivision 11; 276.012; 290A.055; and 
  1.6             290A.26; Laws 1995, chapter 264, article 4, as amended.
  1.7   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.8      Section 1.  [REPEALER.] 
  1.9      Minnesota Statutes 1996, sections 270B.12, subdivision 11; 
  1.10  276.012; 290A.055; and 290A.26; and Laws 1995, chapter 264, 
  1.11  article 4, as amended by Laws 1996, chapter 471, article 3, are 
  1.12  repealed.  Notwithstanding Minnesota Statutes, section 645.34, 
  1.13  the sections of statutes amended by the repealed Laws 1995, 
  1.14  chapter 264, article 4, as amended, remain in effect as if not 
  1.15  so amended. 
  1.16     Sec. 2.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  1.17     Section 1 is effective the day following final enactment.
