  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to employment; appropriating money for 
  1.3             HIV/AIDS in the workplace education. 
  1.4   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.5      Section 1.  [APPROPRIATION.] 
  1.6      $300,000 is appropriated from the general fund to the 
  1.7   commissioner of economic security for the rehabilitation 
  1.8   services branch to provide education to employers to support HIV 
  1.9   general education and awareness and to improve capacities to 
  1.10  manage HIV in the workplace, to be available until June 30, 
  1.11  2003.  Of this amount, no less than $150,000 must be used to 
  1.12  contract with a community-based organization for education and 
  1.13  legal and technical assistance for employers and their employees.
