  1.20  improvements.
  1.21 Subd. 2. [BRT STUDY ADVISORY COMMITTEE.] The commissioner

  2.5   corridor.
  2.6 Subd. 3. [STUDY REQUIREMENTS.] The study must, at a
  2.7 minimum, include an analysis of the benefits and costs of
  2.8 implementing a bus rapid transit system that includes the

  2.13  that provide for faster convenient boarding;
  2.14 (3) station locations that are adjacent to, or easily
  2.15  accessible from, the exclusive right-of-way;
  2.16 (4) traffic management improvements and traffic signal
  2.17 preemption on local streets within the I-35W corridor; and
  2.18 (5) changes to existing transit services to provide for
  2.19  timely connections and transfers.
  2.20 Subd. 4. [STUDY RECOMMENDATIONS.] The study must recommend:
  2.21 (1) options for implementing bus rapid transit in the I-35W
  2.22  corridor;
  2.23 (2) the associated cost of each option; and
  2.24 (3) the anticipated benefits in terms of reduced travel
  2.25 times, increased ridership, and impacts on congestion levels
  2.26  within the corridor.
  2.27 The study must be submitted by December 10, 2004, to the
  2.28 house of representatives and senate committees with jurisdiction
  2.29 over transportation policy and finance.
