  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to economic development; providing funding 
  1.3             for the natural resources research institute; 
  1.4             appropriating money. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [NATURAL RESOURCES RESEARCH INSTITUTE; 
  1.7   APPROPRIATION.] 
  1.8      $950,000 in fiscal year 1998 and $950,000 in fiscal year 
  1.9   1999 are appropriated from the general fund for transfer to the 
  1.10  Minnesota Technology, Inc. fund.  Of the appropriation, $950,000 
  1.11  in fiscal year 1998 and $950,000 in fiscal year 1999 are for 
  1.12  grants to the natural resources research institute.
