  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to the city of Saint Paul; exempting certain 
  1.3             tax increment financing districts from certain aid 
  1.4             offsets. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [CITY OF SAINT PAUL; TAX INCREMENT FINANCING 
  1.7   DISTRICT; EXEMPTION.] 
  1.8      Any tax increment financing districts located in the Phalen 
  1.9   Corridor Project Area of the city of Saint Paul that are 
  1.10  certified after the date of final enactment of this act are 
  1.11  exempt from the provisions of Minnesota Statutes, section 
  1.12  273.1399. 
  1.13     Sec. 2.  [EFFECTIVE DATE; LOCAL APPROVAL.] 
  1.14     This act is effective upon compliance by the governing body 
  1.15  of the city of Saint Paul with Minnesota Statutes, section 
  1.16  645.021, subdivision 3.
