  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to education; appropriating money to 
  1.3             establish a computerized transportation routing system 
  1.4             for special education students under the Minnesota 
  1.5             river valley special education cooperative. 
  1.6   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.7      Section 1.  [APPROPRIATION.] 
  1.8      $70,000 is appropriated in fiscal year 1997 from the 
  1.9   general fund to the commissioner of children, families, and 
  1.10  learning for the Minnesota river valley special education 
  1.11  cooperative, joint powers district No. 993, to establish and 
  1.12  implement a computerized transportation routing system for 
  1.13  special education students.  This appropriation is available 
  1.14  until June 30, 1998.  
  1.15     Sec. 2.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  1.16     Section 1 is effective the day following final enactment.
