  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to Itasca county; modifying certain 
  1.3             accounting and expenditure requirements for road and 
  1.4             bridge fund tax money derived from unorganized 
  1.5             townships. 
  1.6   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.7      Section 1.  [ROAD AND BRIDGE FUND ACCOUNTING AND 
  1.8   EXPENDITURE; UNORGANIZED TOWNSHIPS.] 
  1.9      Notwithstanding Minnesota Statutes, section 163.06, 
  1.10  subdivision 4, the road and bridge fund tax money collected from 
  1.11  unorganized townships in Itasca county need not be set apart in 
  1.12  separate funds for each township.  Notwithstanding Minnesota 
  1.13  Statutes, section 163.06, subdivision 5, road and bridge fund 
  1.14  tax money that is collected from the various unorganized 
  1.15  townships may be expended by the Itasca county board in any of 
  1.16  the unorganized townships in the county. 
  1.17     Sec. 2.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  1.18     Section 1 is effective the day after the Itasca county 
  1.19  board and its chief clerical officer comply with Minnesota 
  1.20  Statutes, section 645.021, subdivision 3.
