  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to corrections; making changes in the work 
  1.3             program at Camp Ripley; amending Minnesota Statutes 
  1.4             1998, section 241.277, subdivision 1. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  Minnesota Statutes 1998, section 241.277, 
  1.7   subdivision 1, is amended to read: 
  1.8      Subdivision 1.  [PROGRAM ESTABLISHED.] The commissioner of 
  1.9   corrections shall establish a four-year pilot project work 
  1.10  program at Camp Ripley.  The program must serve adult male:  (1) 
  1.11  nonviolent felony and gross misdemeanor offenders who are 
  1.12  ordered to complete the program by courts under section 609.113; 
  1.13  and (2) county probation violators, prison releasees within six 
  1.14  months of release from state prison, DWI offenders, and 
  1.15  offenders with a criminal history that includes some person 
  1.16  offenses.
