  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to human services; appropriating money. 
  1.3   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.4      Section 1.  [APPROPRIATION.] 
  1.5      $60,000 is appropriated annually from the general fund to 
  1.6   the commissioner of human services for the purpose of providing 
  1.7   a cost of living adjustment (COLA) increase to the current base 
  1.8   amount used as a grant to provide a living skills training 
  1.9   program for persons with intractable epilepsy who need 
  1.10  assistance in the transition to independent living.  This 
  1.11  appropriation must be included in the base amount beginning 
  1.12  fiscal year 1998.
