A bill for an act
relating to elections; requiring reporting of theft or
conversion of certain campaign funds; amending
Minnesota Statutes 2004, section 10A.20, by adding a
subdivision.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
Section 1.
Minnesota Statutes 2004, section 10A.20, is
amended by adding a subdivision to read:

A political party
unit must report to the board the theft or conversion of $100 or
more from the party unit's campaign funds within 15 days of the
time the theft or conversion was discovered. The board must
post that report on its Web site.
