A bill for an act
relating to economic development; appropriating money
for the joint partnership between the University of
Minnesota and the Mayo Clinic for research in
biotechnology and medical genomics.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin APPROPRIATION.

new text begin Beginning with the fiscal year ending June 30, 2006,
$15,000,000 is appropriated each year for five years from the
general fund to the commissioner of employment and economic
development for purposes of operating expenses for the joint
partnership between the University of Minnesota and the Mayo
Clinic for research in biotechnology and medical genomics. The
appropriation each year is available until expended.
