1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

1.5    Section 1. [10.575] MEDAL OF HONOR DAY.
1.6March 25 is designated Medal of Honor Day in honor of the individuals who
1.7have served in the military or naval forces of the United States and have received the
1.8Congressional Medal of Honor, which was first presented on March 25, 1863. Each year,
1.9the governor shall issue a proclamation honoring this observance.
1.10EFFECTIVE DATE.This section is effective the day following final enactment.
