  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to the county of Itasca; authorizing issuance 
  1.3             of bonds for construction of a nursing home facility. 
  1.4   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.5      Section 1.  [NURSING HOME BONDS AUTHORIZED.] 
  1.6      Itasca county may issue bonds under Minnesota Statutes, 
  1.7   sections 376.55 and 376.56, to finance the construction of a 
  1.8   35-bed nursing home facility to replace an existing 35-bed 
  1.9   private facility located in the county.  For the purposes of 
  1.10  Minnesota Statutes, section 376.56, subdivision 3, the 
  1.11  construction constitutes replacement of an existing nursing home 
  1.12  without increasing the number of accommodations for residents. 
  1.13     Sec. 2.  [EFFECTIVE DATE; LOCAL APPROVAL.] 
  1.14     Section 1 is effective the day after the governing body of 
  1.15  Itasca county and its chief clerical officer timely complete 
  1.16  their compliance with Minnesota Statutes, section 645.021, 
  1.17  subdivisions 2 and 3.
