  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to natural resources; appropriating money for 
  1.3             the Mississippi headwaters board. 
  1.4   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.5      Section 1.  [APPROPRIATION; MISSISSIPPI HEADWATERS BOARD.] 
  1.6      $140,000 in fiscal year 2004 and $140,000 in fiscal year 
  1.7   2005 are appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner 
  1.8   of natural resources for a grant to the Mississippi headwaters 
  1.9   board for up to 50 percent of the cost of updating and 
  1.10  implementing the comprehensive plan, under Minnesota Statutes, 
  1.11  sections 103F.361 to 103F.377, for the upper Mississippi river 
  1.12  corridor within areas under the board's jurisdiction.  The 
  1.13  unencumbered balance in the first year does not cancel but is 
  1.14  available for the second year.
