  1.3             for tourism promotion. 
  1.4   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.5      Section 1.  [APPROPRIATION; OFFICE OF TOURISM.] 
  1.6      $5,000,000 is appropriated from the general fund for the 
  1.7   biennium ending June 30, 2001, to the commissioner of trade and 
  1.8   economic development for tourism marketing and advertising and 
  1.9   is added to the department's budget base.
