A bill for an act
relating to higher education; requiring prioritization of certain in-demand
programs at the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities; proposing coding for
new law in Minnesota Statutes, chapter 136F.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

new text begin Notwithstanding the amount of an appropriation to the Minnesota State Colleges and
Universities made pursuant to law, and any other receipts of the board, the board shall
fund programs that produce graduates with technical and vocational skills for which there
is a high employer need within the state at no less than the amount funded per full-time
student to those programs during the 2012-2013 academic year.
