  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to the organization and operation of state 
  1.3             government; providing supplemental appropriations for 
  1.4             certain purposes. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6   Section 1.  [APPROPRIATIONS SUMMARY.] 
  1.7      The sums shown in columns marked "APPROPRIATIONS" are 
  1.8   appropriated from the general fund, or another named fund, to 
  1.9   the agencies and for the purposes specified in the following 
  1.10  sections of this act to be available for the fiscal year 
  1.11  indicated for each purpose.  The figure "1995," whenever used in 
  1.12  this act, means that the appropriations listed under it are 
  1.13  available for the year ending June 30, 1995.

  1.21  Sec. 2.  ATTORNEY GENERAL; MILLE LACS
  1.22  TREATY LITIGATION                                $      790,000
  1.23  This appropriation is added to the 
  1.24  appropriation in Laws 1993, chapter 
  1.25  192, section 11, subdivision 3, for the 
  1.26  unanticipated expenses of the Mille 
  1.27  Lacs and Fond du Lac treaty litigation 
  1.28  efforts. 
  1.29  Sec. 3.  MILITARY AFFAIRS; ARMORY
  2.1   ASSESSMENTS 
  2.2   $46,000 of the amount appropriated for 
  2.3   fiscal year 1995 in Laws 1993, chapter 
  2.4   192, section 22, for the tuition 
  2.5   reimbursement program may be 
  2.6   transferred and used for special 
  2.7   assessments due to the city of 
  2.8   Roseville for National Guard property 
  2.9   under Minnesota Statutes, section 
  2.10  435.19, subdivision 2. 
  2.11  Sec. 4.  PUBLIC DEFENSE BOARD; JUVENILE
  2.12  JUSTICE BILL MANDATES; COST OF TRANSCRIPTS            1,500,000
  2.13  This appropriation is added to the 
  2.14  appropriations in Laws 1993, chapter 
  2.15  146, article 2, section 3. 
  2.16  Sec. 5.  PUBLIC SAFETY; EMERGENCY
  2.17  MANAGEMENT, FLOOD RELIEF                                30,000
  2.18  This appropriation is added to the 
  2.19  appropriation in Laws 1993, chapter 
  2.20  266, section 5, subdivision 7, to 
  2.21  provide matching funds for federal 
  2.22  emergency management assistance funds 
  2.23  received for flood damaged counties 
  2.24  under federal disaster declaration 
  2.25  numbers 929, 946, and 993. 
  2.26  Sec. 6.  RACING COMMISSION                               77,000
  2.27  This appropriation is added to the 
  2.28  appropriation in Laws 1993, chapter 
  2.29  146, article 3, section 3, for 
  2.30  regulating, licensing, and monitoring 
  2.31  pari-mutuel horse racing activities. 
  2.32  Sec. 7.  VETERANS AFFAIRS; EMERGENCY
  2.33  ASSISTANCE                                              500,000
  2.34  This appropriation is added to the 
  2.35  appropriation in Laws 1993, chapter 
  2.36  192, section 23, for the emergency 
  2.37  financial and medical needs of veterans.
  2.38  Sec. 8.  BOARD OF ARCHITECTURE, ENGINEERING,
  2.39  LAND SURVEYING, LANDSCAPE ARCHITECTURE, AND
  2.40  INTERIOR DESIGN; LEGAL FEES                             200,000
  2.41  This appropriation is for legal fees 
  2.42  and is available until June 30, 1997. 
  2.43  Sec. 9.  DEPARTMENT OF HUMAN SERVICES 
  2.44  Notwithstanding any other law to the 
  2.45  contrary, the department of human 
  2.46  services may transfer, in fiscal year 
  2.47  1995, up to $800,000 of unobligated 
  2.48  resources from any administrative or 
  2.49  nonforecast program account to the 
  2.50  subsidized adoption program. 
  2.51     Sec. 10.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  2.52     This act is effective the day following final enactment.
