  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to state lands; authorizing private sale of 
  1.3             certain tax-forfeited land that borders public water 
  1.4             in Kandiyohi county. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [PRIVATE SALE OF TAX-FORFEITED LAND; KANDIYOHI 
  1.7   COUNTY.] 
  1.8      (a) Notwithstanding Minnesota Statutes, sections 92.45 and 
  1.9   282.018, subdivision 1, and the public sale provisions of 
  1.10  Minnesota Statutes, chapter 282, Kandiyohi county may sell by 
  1.11  private sale the tax-forfeited land bordering public water that 
  1.12  is described in paragraph (c), under the remaining provisions of 
  1.13  Minnesota Statutes, chapter 282. 
  1.14     (b) The land described in paragraph (c) may be sold by 
  1.15  private sale to a landowner whose land is adjacent to land 
  1.16  described in paragraph (c).  The conveyance must be in a form 
  1.17  approved by the attorney general. 
  1.18     (c) The land that may be conveyed is located in Kandiyohi 
  1.19  county and is described as Outlot C, Parkers Lake Elizabeth 
  1.20  Estates, Section 34, Township 119 North, Range 33 West. 
  1.21     (d) The county has determined that the county's land 
  1.22  management interests would best be served if the lands were 
  1.23  returned to private ownership. 
  1.24     Sec. 2.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  1.25     Section 1 is effective the day following final enactment.
