A bill for an act
relating to highways; authorizing issuance of
$50,000,000 in state trunk highway bonds for
completion of a segment of Marked Trunk Highway 610 as
a four-lane freeway; appropriating money.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin APPROPRIATION; T. H. 610 PROJECT.

new text begin $50,000,000 is appropriated from the trunk highway fund to
assist in the completion of Marked Trunk Highway 610 as a
four-lane freeway from its intersection with Marked Trunk
Highway 169 to its intersection with Marked Interstate Highway
94. This appropriation is available until spent.

Sec. 2. new text begin BOND SALE AUTHORIZATION.

new text begin On request of the commissioner of transportation, the
commissioner of finance shall issue and sell Minnesota state
trunk highway bonds for the purposes provided in Minnesota
Statutes, section 167.51, subdivision 1, in the aggregate
principal amount of $50,000,000 in the manner and on the
conditions prescribed in Minnesota Statutes, sections 167.50 and
167.51, and in the Minnesota Constitution, article XIV, section
11. The proceeds of the bonds must be deposited in the trunk
highway fund for expenditure in accordance with section 1.
