  1.2             relating to education; authorizing grants for the 
  1.3             collaborative urban educator program; appropriating 
  1.4             money. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [COLLABORATIVE URBAN EDUCATOR PROGRAMS GRANTS.] 
  1.7      The following sums are appropriated from the general fund 
  1.8   to the department of children, families, and learning in the 
  1.9   fiscal years designated for grants to collaborative urban 
  1.10  educator programs that prepare and license people of color to 
  1.11  teach: 
  1.12       $........     .....     2000 
  1.13       $........     .....     2001 
  1.14     This appropriation is available until June 30, 2001. 
  1.15     Sec. 2.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  1.16     Section 1 is effective July 1, 1999.
