  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to education; transferring funds from 
  1.3             independent school district Nos. 526, Twin Valley, and 
  1.4             523, Gary, to the Twin Valley and Gary successor 
  1.5             school district. 
  1.6   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.7      Section 1.  [GARY.] 
  1.8      Notwithstanding Minnesota Statutes, sections 121.912 and 
  1.9   121.9121, and any other law to the contrary, independent school 
  1.10  district No. 523, Gary, may permanently transfer the balances in 
  1.11  its bonded indebtedness fund and its disabled access account in 
  1.12  the capital expenditure fund to the general fund of the 
  1.13  successor school district of independent school district Nos. 
  1.14  526, Twin Valley, and 523, Gary. 
  1.15     Sec. 2.  [TWIN VALLEY.] 
  1.16     Notwithstanding Minnesota Statutes, sections 121.912, 
  1.17  121.9121, 124.243, subdivision 8, and any other law to the 
  1.18  contrary, independent school district No. 526, Twin Valley, may 
  1.19  permanently transfer the balances in its health and safety 
  1.20  account and its disabled access account in the capital 
  1.21  expenditure fund to the general fund of the successor school 
  1.22  district of independent school district Nos. 526, Twin Valley, 
  1.23  and 523, Gary. 
  1.24     Sec. 3.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  1.25     Sections 1 and 2 are effective the day following final 
  2.1   enactment.
