A bill for an act
relating to crimes; modifying the ticket scalping law; amending Minnesota
Statutes 2006, section 609.805, subdivision 2.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
Minnesota Statutes 2006, section 609.805, subdivision 2, is amended to read:
Whoever intentionally does any of the following is
guilty of a misdemeanor:

(1) issues or sells tickets to an event without printing thereon in a conspicuous place
the price of the ticket and the seat number, if any; or

stated on tickets issued for the event; or

(3) sells or offers to sell a ticket to an event at a price greater than that charged at the
place of admission or printed on the ticket; or

(5) being in control of premises on or in which an event is conducted, permits the
sale or exhibition for sale on or in such premises of a ticket to the event at a price greater
than printed thereon.

This section is effective August 1, 2007, and applies to acts
committed on or after that date.
