  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to game and fish; allowing issuance of 
  1.3             24-hour angling licenses from lottery equipment; 
  1.4             requiring a report; amending Minnesota Statutes 1998, 
  1.5             section 97A.485, by adding a subdivision. 
  1.6   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.7      Section 1.  Minnesota Statutes 1998, section 97A.485, is 
  1.8   amended by adding a subdivision to read: 
  1.9      Subd. 13.  [24-HOUR ANGLING LICENSES.] The commissioner and 
  1.10  the director of the state lottery shall cooperate to allow a 
  1.11  lottery retailer under chapter 349A to issue 24-hour angling 
  1.12  licenses from lottery equipment. 
  1.13     Sec. 2.  [REPORT TO LEGISLATURE.] 
  1.14     By January 15, 2002, the commissioner of natural resources 
  1.15  shall report to the legislature on the results of licensing 
  1.16  under section 1, including a recommendation on whether to 
  1.17  continue the licensing from lottery equipment.
