A bill for an act
 relating to retirement; providing an ad hoc
postretirement adjustment to Eveleth police and fire
trust fund benefit recipients.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin EVELETH RETIRED POLICE AND FIRE TRUST FUND; AD
HOC POSTRETIREMENT ADJUSTMENT.

new text begin In addition to the current pensions and other retirement
benefits payable, the pensions and retirement benefits payable
to retired police officers and firefighters and their surviving
spouses by the Eveleth police and fire trust fund are increased
by $100 per month. Increases are retroactive to January 1, 2005.

Sec. 2. new text begin EFFECTIVE DATE; LOCAL APPROVAL.

new text begin Section 1 is effective upon approval by the Eveleth City
Council and compliance with Minnesota Statutes, section 645.021.
