  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to civil service; providing for the abolition 
  1.3             of the Spring Lake Park police civil service 
  1.4             commission. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [ABOLITION.] 
  1.7      Notwithstanding Minnesota Statutes, section 419.16, the 
  1.8   city of Spring Lake Park may abolish its police civil service 
  1.9   commission by unanimous vote of the city council. 
  1.10     Sec. 2.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  1.11     Section 1 is effective without local approval the day after 
  1.12  its final enactment.
