  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to public finance; requiring an additional 
  1.3             revenue forecast; amending Minnesota Statutes 2002, 
  1.4             section 16A.103, subdivision 1.  
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  Minnesota Statutes 2002, section 16A.103, 
  1.7   subdivision 1, is amended to read: 
  1.8      Subdivision 1.  [STATE REVENUE AND EXPENDITURES.] In 
  1.9   February, July, and November each year, the commissioner shall 
  1.10  prepare a forecast of state revenue and expenditures.  The 
  1.11  November forecast must be delivered to the legislature and 
  1.12  governor no later than the end of the first week of December.  
  1.13  The February forecast must be delivered to the legislature and 
  1.14  governor by the end of February.  The July forecast must be 
  1.15  delivered to the legislature and governor by the end of July.  
  1.16  Forecasts must be delivered to the legislature and governor on 
  1.17  the same day.  If requested by the legislative commission on 
  1.18  planning and fiscal policy, delivery to the legislature must 
  1.19  include a presentation to the commission.
