  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to state lands; authorizing conveyance of 
  1.3             certain surplus state land bordering public water. 
  1.4   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.5      Section 1.  [CONVEYANCE OF SURPLUS STATE LAND BORDERING 
  1.6   PUBLIC WATER; CASS COUNTY.] 
  1.7      (a) Notwithstanding Minnesota Statutes, sections 92.45 and 
  1.8   94.10 to 94.16, the commissioner of administration shall convey 
  1.9   to the commissioner of natural resources for no consideration 
  1.10  the surplus land bordering public water that is described in 
  1.11  paragraph (c). 
  1.12     (b) The conveyance must be in a form approved by the 
  1.13  attorney general.  
  1.14     (c) The land to be conveyed is approximately 23.2 acres 
  1.15  located in Cass county and is generally described as the land 
  1.16  labeled as "shoreland" on the topographical survey prepared by 
  1.17  Longdecker & Associates, Inc. and dated August 16, 2002. 
  1.18     (d) The land is currently part of the Ah-Gwah-Ching 
  1.19  regional treatment center campus and was declared surplus state 
  1.20  property, approved by the executive council December 5, 2001.
