  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to state land; requiring a land exchange in 
  1.3             Lake of the Woods county. 
  1.4   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.5      Section 1.  [LAND EXCHANGE; LAKE OF THE WOODS COUNTY.] 
  1.6      (a) The commissioner of natural resources shall, with the 
  1.7   approval of the land exchange board as required under the 
  1.8   Minnesota Constitution, article XI, section 10, and according to 
  1.9   Minnesota Statutes, sections 94.342 to 94.348, exchange the 
  1.10  following land bordering on public waters for the land described 
  1.11  in paragraph (b):  the North 859.83 feet of the Southwest 
  1.12  Quarter of the Southwest Quarter and the North 859.83 feet of 
  1.13  Government Lot 7, Section 5, Township 167 North, Range 33 West. 
  1.14     (b) The land bordering on public waters to be obtained by 
  1.15  the commissioner in the exchange under paragraph (a) is 
  1.16  described as:  the Northeast Quarter of the Southwest Quarter, 
  1.17  Section 5, Township 167 North, Range 33 West. 
  1.18     (c) It is the intent of the legislature to expressly 
  1.19  authorize the exchange according to Minnesota Statutes, section 
  1.20  94.342, subdivision 3.
