  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to alcoholic beverages; authorizing the city 
  1.3             of International Falls to issue a temporary on-sale 
  1.4             liquor license. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [TEMPORARY ON-SALE LICENSE; INTERNATIONAL 
  1.7   FALLS.] 
  1.8      Notwithstanding any other law to the contrary, the 
  1.9   International Falls city council may issue a temporary license 
  1.10  for the on-sale of intoxicating liquor to the all class reunion 
  1.11  committee of International Falls High School in connection with 
  1.12  the all class reunion to be held June 29 to July 4, 2000.  The 
  1.13  license may authorize the on-sale of intoxicating liquor for the 
  1.14  period of June 29 to July 4, 2000, on premises designated by the 
  1.15  International Falls city council.  The license may provide that 
  1.16  the licensee may contract for intoxicating liquor catering 
  1.17  services with the holder of a full-year on-sale intoxicating 
  1.18  liquor license issued by any municipality.  The license is 
  1.19  subject to the terms, including a license fee, imposed by the 
  1.20  city council.  The license is subject to all laws and ordinances 
  1.21  governing the sale of intoxicating liquor except Minnesota 
  1.22  Statutes, sections 340A.409 and 340A.504, subdivision 3, 
  1.23  paragraph (d).  
  1.24     Sec. 2.  [EFFECTIVE DATE; LOCAL APPROVAL.] 
  1.25     Section 1 is effective upon approval by the International 
  2.1   Falls city council and compliance with Minnesota Statutes, 
  2.2   section 645.021.
