1.2relating to game and fish; providing support for the Lessard Outdoor Heritage
1.3Council; appropriating money.
1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.5 Section 1. LESSARD OUTDOOR HERITAGE COUNCIL.
1.6Notwithstanding Minnesota Statutes, section 86B.706, subdivision 3, up to $150,000
1.7is appropriated in fiscal year 2009 from the water recreation account in the natural
1.8resources fund to the Legislative Coordinating Commission for the following expenses of
1.9the Lessard Outdoor Heritage Council: the administrative expenses of the Department
1.10of Natural Resources incurred after November 15, 2008; office expenses; and per diem,
1.11mileage, and lodging expenses of council members pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, section
1.1297A.056, subdivision 2. The expenses of the council reimbursed under this section must
1.13be made available in detail on the council's Web site. This appropriation is available until
1.14July 1, 2009. By October 1, 2009, the commissioner of finance shall transfer $150,000
1.15from the outdoor heritage fund to the water recreation account in the natural resources
1.16fund. The amount necessary to make the transfer is appropriated from the outdoor heritage
1.17fund. The transfer of funds must be completed before any other funds are expended from
1.18the outdoor heritage fund. This is a onetime appropriation.
1.19EFFECTIVE DATE.This section is effective the day following final enactment.
