  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to appropriations; modifying terms of an 
  1.3             appropriation for Pine Technical College; amending 
  1.4             Laws 1998, chapter 404, section 3, subdivision 17. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  Laws 1998, chapter 404, section 3, subdivision 
  1.7   17, is amended to read: 
  1.8   Subd. 17.  Pine Technical College                     1,700,000 
  1.9   To predesign, design, and renovate, and 
  1.10  construct an addition for a 
  1.11  telecommunications/media/technology 
  1.12  center, student services, 
  1.13  administrative services, classrooms, 
  1.14  and a regional economic development 
  1.15  center.  This project may be a part of 
  1.16  a larger advanced technology center 
  1.17  project at the college if federal funds 
  1.18  are available for the larger project.  
  1.19  The board must not proceed with the 
  1.20  larger advanced technology center 
  1.21  project without the approval of the 
  1.22  chairs of the house committee on ways 
  1.23  and means and the senate committee on 
  1.24  education finance. 
  1.25     Sec. 2.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  1.26     Section 1 is effective the day following final enactment.
