A bill for an act
relating to criminal justice; providing jail credit for time spent on pretrial
electronic home monitoring; amending Minnesota Statutes 2014, section
609.145, by adding a subdivision.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
Section 1.
Minnesota Statutes 2014, section 609.145, is amended by adding a
subdivision to read:

When a person is required to
use an electronic home monitoring device as a condition of pretrial release, the person is
entitled to credit towards the person's eventual sentence for each day the device is used.
