  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to elections; requiring disclosures by 
  1.3             certain persons conducting polls; proposing coding for 
  1.4             new law in Minnesota Statutes, chapter 211B. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [211B.22] [POLLING; REQUIRED DISCLOSURES.] 
  1.7      A person or organization that conducts a poll by telephone 
  1.8   which references a candidate for elective office must disclose: 
  1.9      (1) the person or entity that commissioned the poll; and 
  1.10     (2) whether the candidate or candidates referenced in the 
  1.11  poll, authorized the poll.
