  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to state lands; authorizing conveyance of 
  1.3             certain tax-forfeited land in Hubbard county free of 
  1.4             the tax-forfeited trust.  
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [CONVEYANCE OF TAX-FORFEITED LAND; HUBBARD 
  1.7   COUNTY.] 
  1.8      (a) If the city of Park Rapids conveys the land described 
  1.9   in paragraph (c) to the state according to Minnesota Statutes, 
  1.10  section 282.01, subdivision 1d, then, notwithstanding any other 
  1.11  provision of Minnesota Statutes, chapter 282, Hubbard county 
  1.12  shall reconvey the land described in paragraph (c) to the city 
  1.13  of Park Rapids for no consideration.  
  1.14     (b) The conveyance must be in a form approved by the 
  1.15  attorney general.  Notwithstanding Minnesota Statutes, chapter 
  1.16  282, the city of Park Rapids may use the land for other than a 
  1.17  public use and may sell the land free of the tax-forfeited trust 
  1.18  if the proceeds of the sale are used for a public purpose.  
  1.19     (c) The land to be conveyed is in Hubbard county and is 
  1.20  described as:  Lot 32, Auditor's Plat #4, city of Park Rapids. 
  1.21     Sec. 2.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  1.22     Section 1 is effective the day following final enactment.
