A bill for an act
relating to the city of Montgomery; authorizing the city to convey property for
less than market value.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin TRANSFER OF PROPERTY.

new text begin (a) Notwithstanding any law to the contrary, the city of Montgomery may convey, by
quitclaim deed, to the Montgomery American Legion Post No. 79 the property described
as "Block 7, Lots 14, 15, and 16, city of Montgomery, Le Sueur County, Minnesota." The
city may convey the property for less than market value. Any conveyance of property
under this section must be authorized by resolution adopted by a majority vote of the
city council.

new text begin (b) Any conveyance of the property described in paragraph (a) must prohibit the
Montgomery American Legion Post No. 79 from transferring the property to a private
entity for five years from the date of conveyance. The city may place any additional lawful
conditions or restrictions on the conveyance.
